In 2024–25, Make It Happen empowered communities across North Tyneside to take action and shape the places they call home—thanks to funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
This tried-and-tested action learning programme equipped volunteers of all ages with the skills, tools, and confidence to co-produce vibrant events, exhibitions, festivals, and creative projects in their own neighbourhoods.
From Whitley Bay to North Shields, Longbenton to Weetslade, Make It Happen brought people together, sparked ideas, and transformed local spaces through community-led creativity.
