The young women who wrote, developed and performed in the films, celebrated the long-awaited launch of Louder Films in style on Thursday evening 14 July 2022.

Louder was a youth-led project in partnership with Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland highlighting sexual violence and consent.

Young people watched the 5 films which they co-created with Artist and Director Liv Hunt. Hafsa (one of the participants) introduced each film.

Reiterating the importance of projects like this Hafsa said:

I would like to thank everybody for putting your support into this. Allowing us to break the stigma on something so important and sensitive, it really is. But it needs to be talked about because things really need to change. I’m so proud of the final product. Just the idea of it, really pushing yourselves out there and using your knowledge, it really empowers me so much.”

An engagement pack will be launching soon for schools and youth settings to access.
