Louder is a young people’s peer education arts project delivered by Helix Arts in partnership with Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland.

This partnership project with Rape Crisis North Tyneside and Northumberland will develop a new bespoke drama piece which will be co-created by young people from North Shields with and artist Liv Hunt.

Young people will develop their confidence, motivation and skills during the development of their drama piece. They will engage with and explore the materials, processes and concepts with artist Liv Hunt’s creative practice.

Research indicates that domestic abuse is prevalent in all neighbourhoods and it is not confined to particular communities, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or social status.

Louder provides a unique opportunity for young people to share their lived experience and spark conversations around relationships and boundaries.

The project has ambitions to develop a resource which will be disseminated beyond the immediate group to their peers.
