During Covid 2021, we worked with members of Sunderland’s Deaf Club as part of our tried and tested Make It Happen Programme.
Taking the training online, members of the group embarked on an eight week course to increase their knowledge. Supported by BSL translators the course covered various areas of project management, participants developed skills in:
- Artist recruitment
- Participant recruitment
- Budget management & creation
- Roles & responsibilities included in running an arts & culture project
- Health & safety
Gaining insights from guest speakers and our trainers, each week the participants put their skills into action developing potential project ideas for their community.
