This creative action research project is exploring perceptions of community safety in the Meadow Well estate in North Shields. Local young people have the opportunity to creatively explore and share what ‘safe’ means to them. The aim is to develop recommendations about how public safety in the area can be improved and what young people want to see changed.
This is also being informed by a process of listening and mapping with local community organisations and service providers whose work impacts community safety locally.
