Make Art Happen

Peregrini Lindisfarne was a landscape partnership project made up of community, voluntary and public sector organisations. A strategic cultural development initiative for a large remote rural coastal area in North Northumberland, funded through HLF, with overarching aims around preservation, interpretation and engagement with the landscape.

Primary aims of the Make Art Happen programme were to develop the local skill base in relation to arts and heritage, whilst encouraging participation in the landscape amongst local people.

Immersive Landscapes

Encouraging members of the local community to take part, the Make Art Happen team ran a series of workshops and art walks with both artists and local experts to form creative responses to the area. These responses were then turned into art books and final pieces which were exhibited at the end of the project.
