Bringing geocaching to Evenwood, County Durham alongside opportunities to explore the area's rich cultural history.
Hidden Treasures transformed the traditional easter egg hunt into a digital arts experience. Children and young people joined a high quality artist in developing a range of artworks that were be housed in ‘bird boxes’ for people to find using a series of online clues.
The programme was person-centered, responding to the interests and experiences of the groups. Participants worked with a range of artforms including animation, film, crafts, drawing, photography and map-making to develop themes inspired by the village and its local heritage.
This programme was funded by County Durham Community Foundation’s Northern Heartlands Fund.
