Facilitated by artists and creatives across three locations in the North East, we invite you to engage with the programme, tap into your creativity, and socialise with locals over a cuppa.
Our free North Tyneside programme takes place in North Shields and Wallsend. Take a look at all of our upcoming workshops and see what has happened so far.
Between October and December 2024, local residents had the opportunity to work with two mosaic artists both in Wallsend and North Shields for a six week block. Working both individually and in groups to create brightly designed personalised mosaics which represented them. Learning skills such as grouting, tile cutting and working with a variety of materials, participants worked diligently to make their pieces.
This was an extraordinary opportunity to visit the Laing Art Gallery and enjoy a creative session following the exhibition viewing of Turner: Art, Industry & Nostalgia
Participants admired the beauty of Turner’s artworks and let their creativity flow in a session facilitated by illustrator Ali Elly.
A member of the Laing Art Gallery provided us a brief curatorial overview. After the exhibition viewing, we worked with different materials and paints to create a work inspired by the exquisite exhibition.

As we launched our Here to There programme in North Tyneside, local residents enjoyed getting involved in our programme of creative walks and dance.
Participants enjoyed working with artists to explore story telling at Segedunum Roman Fort and Museum, environmental art in Whitley Bay and an aerial workshop with Lynn Campbell.
