Summer 2025

Summer 2025 was a lively one in North Shields, as we hosted four hands‑on workshops for local young people looking to try something new over the holidays.

Teaming up with artists Bex Harvey and Mark Sillett, we invited participants to dive into a mix of creative adventures, including:

Analogue Photography – Participants got to be hands-on with historic techniques including cyanotypes, analogue, and pinhole camera photography. Creating a range of fun images, while taking a step away from screens.
Printmaking – rolling ink, carving blocks, and pulling their very own artworks, participants developed basic skills in printmaking. Experimenting with shapes and layers to bring their visions to life.
Radio Presenting – Young people had the chance to find their voice, crafting stories, and taking to the mic to create their own radio show.
Introduction to DJ Skills – Young people had fun learning beats, blends, and how to get a room moving with their individual playlists.

Each workshop was completely free, designed to give young people a fun, welcoming space to explore their creativity, build confidence, and make something they could be proud of. It was all about opening doors, sparking ideas, and giving everyone a chance to play, experiment, and discover what they love.

How to book.

If you are interested in any of our workshops, you can book a space on Ticket Source.

Spaces are limited and book quickly. If you are unsuccessful, please join the waiting list for the workshop you’re interested in and we will contact you as places come available.

All places can be booked as either a self-referral or clinician/social prescriber/link worker referral.

Upon booking, please make sure you complete our Participant Registration Form to confirm your space. The form collects a variety of information, including your contact details, emergency contact, basic health and medical information, equality, diversity and inclusion data, and photograph consent information.
