In a community workshop space, two individuals collaborate on a woodworking project. One person operates a power drill while the other positions a wooden piece. The table is covered with tools, screws, and partially assembled wooden structures. The background includes chairs, jackets on a coat rack, and a door with signage, suggesting a welcoming, shared environment.

About the North West offer

Our Creative Health programme is designed to improve the health and wellbeing of men living in North West North Tyneside. By teaming up with experienced, professional artists, we offer creative workshops that respond to participants’ needs—bringing people together to unwind, connect, and express themselves.

Who’s it for? Our sessions are especially welcoming to people managing mild physical or mental health conditions, including:

  • Anxiety or depression
  • Mobility challenges or long-term illness
  • Visual or hearing impairments
  • Learning disabilities or physical disabilities

These friendly, supportive workshops help you take time out, share experiences, and rediscover the joy of making something meaningful- together.

What's coming up

Across June – September, we’re excited to be trying some new artforms with the men in our group. Participants will explore these new artforms to help co-design their autumn programme.

We’re also excited to be offering a range of visits with North East Museums too.
