‘You:Your Art’ is a pilot programme of arts activities that will promote wellbeing and resilience for residents in North Tyneside suffering from poor mental health. You:Your Art will support the prevention of people wanting to take their own lives, especially for those currently isolating and shielding during the Coronavirus pandemic.
You: Your Art takes place at home, online, in safe supported groups using ‘at home ingredients’.
Weekly group sessions will acknowledge personal progression and encourage supportive peer critique.
Onine workshops will start from Tuesday 23 June (2-4pm) and run for 12 weeks until Tuesday 8 September 2020.
Every week artist Claire Ford will work with people to explore a range of visual arts; papercraft, print, text, collage, ink to develop personal creative journals.
For North Tyneside residents. No previous experience is needed.
People will learn new skills and share ‘work in progress’, but also enjoy a social, relaxed virtual space to view and acknowledge each others’ journeys and stories. demonstrated by their creative expression.
