Co-produced by researchers from Children North East and Newcastle University, VOICES addresses a serious knowledge gap in the understanding of the needs of children and young people aged 5-18 living in poverty in the context of Covid-19.

It’s Children’s Mental Health Week, so we thought we’d highlight some of the work we and those connected to us do with children and young people.

The VOICES report offers a good insight into young people’s feelings about their futures after COVID-19.

VOICES

Children North East and Newcastle University collaborated on a report exploring how the pandemic affected the health, wellbeing, relationships, education and work prospects of more than 1,700 children and young people in our region.

The VOICES team consulted young people aged 5-18 via different mediums, including making a comic.
