We are delighted to be working alongside Walking With, Newcastle United Foundation, Sporting Wallsend (Wallsend Boys Club) to celebrate refugee week this weekend.
Partners are hosting a United for Sanctuary Football Festival, a football tournament to celebrate refugee week.
This year’s festival will include a five-a-side tournament, indoor arts sessions facilitated by Helix Arts, a calm zone with X-Box games and lots more for families to enjoy.
Men and women’s 5 a side teams from organisations across the area will be playing in a special football festival supporting and celebrating Sanctuary.
Helix Arts artist Sally Anderson will be delivering arts sessions from 11am-1pm for people to drop in and make their own mini canvas posca pictures celebrating home and unity.
