We Got the Beat- Project Example
Working in partnership with Inclusion North, Music Partnership North and Northumberland County Council, We got the Beat led to inclusive music activity with young peoples’ groups at Cramlington Voluntary Youth Project. Young people in Cramlington told us of their need and ambition for music activity with professional artists, supported skills development and progression in Arts Award. They developed skills and confidence experimenting with new music co-production and to share their work with others.
Young people are at the heart of the programme and are being supported to identify, shape and build a programme that is responsive to their needs and abilities. This led to a music residential in Kielder and an end of year musical awards celebration.
