Continuing Professional Development for Artists

Aimed at addressing the shortage of artists who are skilled in delivering participatory arts, Helix Arts is working with Northumbria University to deliver a programme of short courses for artists and to facilitate mentoring and placement opportunities.

Multi-disciplinary Advisory Panel

A panel of artists, academics, theorists and public sector leaders working together to develop best practice guidelines for arts and social inclusion work.

Project Archive

Development of an online archive of past project work from the 1980s to the present day.

Research Programme

A body of work, including major research to be carried out in partnership with Northumbria University, to gain evidence of the intrinsic importance of participation in the arts and the benefits of participatory arts in relation to social inclusion. The evidence gathered will be disseminated and discussed at a high-profile conference event.
