Moving On: 2Shots Exhibition

 

People are hard work
They just don't understand me.
My anger is black.
But I want to walk away this time,
Gonna stay out of trouble,
Change my life.
If I want respect, I must show respect!

2Shots has been created by young people on the Moving On project in Sunderland with the support of designer and animator Tommy Anderson.

The animation is a fusion of montages, stencilling and typographical artworks that is an honest expression of their experiences of the experiences and aspirations of these young people who just to be given a second chance!

The animation and accompanying artworks are on display:

Moving On is an ongoing programme of arts activities for young people on the South of Tyne Intensive Supervision and Surveillance Programme (ISSP) that encourages personal development, challenges attitudes and offending behaviour and provides opportunities for the young people to move on to help reduce re-offending rates. Moving On is managed by Helix Arts and South of Tyne ISSP.
